Cool engine, massively overpriced though. Poor quality. Just look at how much oil it's burning. Your average weed whacker probably has just as much power and is more reliable and simpler 😂
6:54 you should be using non-oxygenated gas. 97 octane usually has at least some ethanol mixed in it.

The idle sounds like an i6 diesel truck.
Working with engines it's good to know how to shut them down. I've worked in garages where mechanics panicked and did stupid stuff to try and shut down a runaway engine. Grabbing a rag and stuffing it into the intake is the preferred way if a shutoff switch fails. Don't try and take off spark plug/coil wires, getting shocked isn't fun.

Get a junk yard 5.3 for cheaper and play with that on your desk instead :D
It looks very basic, much like something from the 30s or 40s. You need to make a scale john deere tractor, complete with a brass radiator core.

At 8:50, is the number 4 cylinders intake where the pipes meet has a huge gap at the weld? That might be some vacuum leak if it is.
